I founded Base Computing because I wanted to change the world. Not metaphorically, not a cliché — it's the only reason worth building something like this.
Today we're doing it on multiple fronts at once: we incubated a blockchain infrastructure (Basis Network) that's now an independent Inc.; we operate our own SaaS products in production with real customers (PLASMA, Trace); we're forming exceptional children and youth who had the talent but not the tools (Fellowship); and we help private-sector companies across Colombia and the USA build the software they need to operate at scale.
My conviction is simple: real progress comes from industry and the private sector. Governments administer what exists; companies invent what comes next. Colombia has world-class talent that hasn't been exported at the scale it deserves. We're proving it, and we'll keep proving it.
We won't stop until Base Computing is one of the largest software development companies in the world. That sounds ambitious. It is. That's the point.
